In one point in that movie they spoke of underground water and one of those who was there said "ohhh" This is the only story I have ever heard of Ghosts taking someones beverage though. Two weeks later she was taking some clothes up to the attic and sitting on the bannister in the attic was her beer. She asked all the kids whether they had taken it and was met with a chorus of "No"'s. She went to the wash room and when she came back the beer was gone. My grandmother told me a story about how when she was a teenager her mother was drinking a beer and set it down to do some laudry. I think evaporation is likely the culprit, but would be interested to see if there was any correlation between water an ghostly activity other than having some water come up missing.
